THE BELIZE-TAIWAN PARTIAL SCOPE AGREEMENT 

The Belize-Taiwan Partial Scope Agreement (PSA), having been ratified by the Senate last week, provides Belizean exporters of close to 200 class of goods with preferential access to the Taiwanese market.

The products benefiting from the preferential treaty under the PSA are listed under ANNEX I of the AGREEMENT ON ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA (TAIWAN) AND THE GOVERNMENT OF BELIZE (The Agreement).

Among the goods receiving complete duty-free entry (dubbed “Category A” goods) we find crude soy bean oil (HS 15071000), cheese (0406), lobster (0306), and more. The full list can be viewed starting on page 30 of the Agreement or via the Annex extract provided HERE.
