The COVID-19 Unemployment Relief Program
Belmopan. April 1, 2020. 3:35 p.m.
The co-chairs of the COVID-19 National Oversight Committee, the Rt Hon. Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition, agreed on March 16, 2020, to establish the Economic Oversight Team (EOT) comprising Dr. Carla Barnett and Mr. Christopher Coye, to, among other things, oversee the establishment and operationalization of the Unemployment Relief Program.

Employers Submission Request
Belmopan. April 2, 2020. 3:50 p.m.
An Economic Oversight Team was established on March 16, 2020 to oversee the establishment and operationalization of an Unemployment Relief Program. This program offers financial assistance to meet the needs of workers who have been terminated or laid off as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Multiple verification levels will be applied to the application process to ensure transparency, fairness, and accountability of the Unemployment Relief Program.
In view of this, employers who have laid off employees as a result of COVID-19 are being asked to kindly complete the Excel spreadsheet available on the COVID-19 website https://covid19.bz/employers-submission-request/ as soon as possible and email the completed form to employers@covid19.bz.
