As a deliverable emanating from the IDB-funded project: “Leveraging Digital Technology for Improving the Business Climate in Belize, BL-T1110”, kindly find attached, a copy of the draft Belize Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Act 2021 for the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s needed feedback and guidance. This draft key digital legislation forms a critical aspect essential for advancing E-Commerce, E-Government and digital transformation in Belize.
In this regard, we also invite you and the membership of the BCCI to participate in a virtual stakeholder consultation session on the draft bill being proposed for Wednesday 3rd February, 2021 at 9am. A meeting link will follow this correspondence.
