Join us for an interactive webinar in honor of Women’s History Month. Montrece McNeill Ransom and Brianne Yassine will discuss structural sexism as a determinant of health, the history of women in the public health workforce, and the state of gender inequity in the public health workforce in the time of COVID.  The heart of this program will be a discussion of how inequity in the workforce impacts the field, and ways to increase diverse, intersectional representation in public health leadership for the benefit of current and future generations of public health professionals.

 Speaker: Montrece Ransom

Montrece McNeill Ransom’s mission is to empower and strengthen others to develop inspired and authentic careers and inclusive work places. She has worked in the legal, public health, academic, and entertainment industries, most recently serving in federal service as a Team Lead for Training and Workforce Development, and as Capstone Faculty within the School of Health Sciences at Walden University.

In 2018, Ms. Ransom launched MMR Consulting, a practice focused on leadership development and diversity, inclusion, and belongingness. She brings to her consulting practice over 18 years of experience supporting and developing diverse individuals. She has delivered talks to thousands, empowering professionals to take ownership of their careers, and inspiring leaders to move past diversity and inclusion to a culture of belongingness. Whether with an organizational or individual client, Ms. Ransom’s goal is to transform mindsets, challenge unexamined beliefs, and help create clear, practical plans of action to move forward.
