The Belize Bureau of Standards (BBS) hereby extends an invitation for your participation in the national kick-off stakeholder engagement for the project to develop a “Regional Non- Medical Laboratory Policy (RLP)”, spearheaded by the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards and Quality (CROSQ) with support from UNIDO.

The project seeks to develop and promulgate a regional policy fit for national adaptation/adoption. The policy objective is to facilitate and cause an increase in the number and scopes of accredited laboratories nationally, and by extension, more access and affordability of regional laboratories, hence increasing the competitiveness and quality index of the CARICOM region.

The kick-off will take place virtually on November 30, 2021, commencing 9 am. See attached invitation letter.

In addition to the BCCI’s participation, the Bureau would like to see the participation of a wide range of stakeholders. With that, the Bureau encourages the BCCI to share the invitation and the content of this correspondence with its members for  their interest and participation.
