CARIBBEAN AIR POLLUTION INITIATIVE PART 2 | SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE OF CARBON IN THE CLIMATE CHANGE CONVERSATION | JULY 29, 2021 |11.00 A.M. AST
The use of trees and vegetation to sequester carbon dioxide and clean the air is one popular strategy to ensure the national determined contributions (NDCs) are successful. The past few weeks have brought into sharper focus the acute impacts of climate change on many regions around the globe and also the urgent need to accelerate the climate change mitigation efforts.
Under discussion will be the varied climate change mitigation efforts and issues such as carbon pricing, carbon sequestration and the relevant communication methods of the necessary behavioural changes for success.
