- Biltmore Best Western Plaza
Event Description
The Government of Belize (GOB) in 2022, together with the United National Children Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Program (WFP), and the International Labor Organization (ILO) launched the Sustainable Development Goals Joint Program (SDG JP): Building a Resilient Belize through a Universal, Adaptive, and Sustainable Social Protection, which focuses on poverty reduction and economic growth.
Under this SDG JP, the GOB is convening a Social Protection Summit, under the theme, “Protection for All,” which is to be held from October 17th – 20th 2023; and where the aim of the summit is to facilitate a multi-stakeholder dialogue that will aide in the development of Belize’s National Social Protection Framework and Strategy.
The four-day conference will be held at the Biltmore Best Western Plaza. It will consist of a high-level policy workshop, and two full days of technical working sessions, culminating in a high-level validation conference and fair.
In addition to the Summit, there will also be a Social Protection Fair on Friday, October 20th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To register for the summit, click HERE
