2nd GOVERNANCE SUMMIT

The Belize Association of Planners and Research Triangle Institute (RTI) International invite you to save the date and register early for the 2nd Governance Summit on Improving the Data Ecosystem for Governance and Decision Making with a focus on Increasing Capacity of Civil Society Organizations in Governance Decision Making in Belize. It will take place virtually on Wednesday July 22nd, 2020.
The summit is a component of a project funded by the United States Embassy titled ‘Improving the Data Ecosystem for Governance Decision Making in Belize’; its goal is to build capacity among Belizean civil society organizations and civil service actors to promote enhanced governance accountability.
The purpose of this Summit is to:
- Enhance and deepen awareness of select local, national and global data sources for governance decision making;
- Share examples of the application of the use of data from select data sources in delivering on project results;
- Promote inter-agency networking, coordination and collaboration for improved governance decision making;
- Strengthen knowledge of a policy brief development and presentation process;
- Discuss contemporary challenges to civil society engagement in governance decision making;
- Enhance the leadership capacity of public officers and civil society to participate in governance decision making;
