CARICOM Single Registration Draft Bill

CARICOM Single Registration Bill

The Directorate General for Foreign Trade has requested your feedback on the attached documents, the Professional Single Registration draft bill, the SWOT analysis and the implementation plan. These documents are in relation to the draft CARICOM Single Registration Bill which proposes that professional services providers can benefit from regional recognition even though they are registered in only one Member State (certain conditions would apply).

In essence, an accountant, registered in Belize, would be able to be treated as registered in any participating Member State (again, subject to certain conditions). This is designed to help advance the practical implementation of the Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME).

The attached documents are in relation to the draft CARICOM Single Registration Bill.

Caribbean Community Single Registration of Professionals Act

Draft Regional Subsector SWOTS
