In a Planning Committee of the Festival Grand Market, the Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI) was offered a proposal to develop a consumer trade show, since the Festival Grand Market, the country’s largest consumer show up to that point had run its course. The BCCI took the proposal to our Executive Council and membership.
The very first EXPO was held in 1996 and was started with 66 booths situated immediately outside the St. John’s College Gymnasium. Over the years, the “Expo” evolved into the Expo Belize Marketplace, the largest consumer trade show in the country and a welcomed addition to the September celebrations calendar.

“Made in Belize” is a tradeshow and B2B event which the Belize Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) launched in 2018. The BCCI is a membership organization that examines the needs of its members and delivers on point to fill those needs. We took note of our micro and smaller businesses looking for that unique opportunity to showcase and make that business connection for their products and services and this is where the birth of “Made in Belize “came about.

Unfortunately due to current circumstances and restrictions of Covid-19, the BCCI was unable to host this year 24th Expo Belize Market Place. Alternatively, the BCCI along with Love FM & Love TV is hosting a new special September Business Promotion, Expo2You!
