Horizon Academy is taking the lead to promote Autism awareness and acceptance in Belize. Autism affects one in every 58 children born world wide and Belize is no different. Unfortunately with lack of knowledge, access to information, therapies and services, families with children on the Autism spectrum are struggling here in Belize.
One of Horizon Academy’s main initiatives is to help promote Autism awareness and acceptance in Belize. This year they are supporting Belize’s participation in the Global Light It Up Blue Campaign where landmarks worldwide light up blue for Autism on the night of April 1st and April 2nd – World Autism Awareness Day.
Horizon Academy is requesting all businesses and government departments to light up blue at their locations and to also wear blue on April 2nd to show their support for Autism.
