Public Service Notice April 24th
Taxpayers are reminded that the deadline for payment of Employee Withholding, Business and General Sales Tax for the month of March 2020 was extended and is now due on MONDAY APRIL 27TH, 2020, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Please also note that payments made by this due date for the month of March, will incur no penalty and interest charges.
All payments made by cheque MUST be made via the Drop Box provided at each BTS office country wide. Receipts for such payments will be available on April 28th, 2020 for pick-up or mailing.
Every person coming to our offices to conduct business MUST wear a mask.
We take this opportunity to welcome you back to our in-office services and express our gratitude to you for adhering to the measures being implemented to ensure the safety of both you and the BTS staff.

Public Service Notice April 11th
In accordance with Statutory Instrument No. 54 of 2020 which takes effect April 11th 2020 all offices of the Belize Tax Service Belize countrywide will be closed to the public from April 13th to April 24th, 2020.
Taxpayers are reminded that those with Atlantic Bank accounts can pay ”online” and a Bank to Bank transfer can be done for Taxpayers holding accounts with the other banks. Paying online is the preferred option. The Banks can provide the guidance as to the Bank to Bank Transfer. Please contact your preferred bank to find out more details.

Public Service Notice March 24th
EXTENSION FOR FILING OF EMPLOYEE INCOME TAX RETURN
The due date for the filing of INDIVIDUAL EMPLOYEE’S INCOME TAX RETURNS for the basis year 2019 has been extended to Thursday April 30th, 2020.
All BTSD offices are open and fully operational at this time. However, for the safety of our staff and clients we are requesting that clients contact us via telephone or email for assistance on how to complete the return form. Our team is equipped to provide the required services.
To encourage social distancing, we are asking clients to utilize our drop-box services available at ALL our offices countrywide or mail in their completed Employee Income Tax Return forms.
The Belize Tax Service Department (BTSD) continues to monitor information coming from the Government of Belize on COVID 19.
When visiting our offices, practice the health and hygiene standards that has been advised by the Ministry of Health for the health and safety of our staff and clients.
