ABOUT ROLE: The Sales Manager will assume responsibility for ensuring DWL’s competitiveness and innovation in the mobile money sector, involving achieving customer acquisition, sales, and revenue growth targets, along with delivering exceptional customer service results through oversight of the Sales Team. Key responsibilities include leveraging the potential of direct reports to enhance sales force productivity, cultivating a high standard of performance among team members, and developing a customer-focused team through coaching and training initiatives. Additionally, the Sales Manager will oversee relationships with merchants and agents, emphasize compliance with internal controls, and collaborate with the management team to meet operational and strategic goals. This role extends to managing organizational sales, including business plan development, performance analysis, and coordination with the marketing department for lead generation and product development. The position reports to the GM DWL.

STANDARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related field.
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in Sales or other financial services industry, preferably at the management level.
  • Basic Knowledge of analyzing business financial and bank statements
  • Thorough Knowledge of Business ownership structures and registration documents.
  • Knowledge of Sales Pipeline Management
  • Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Preferably owns a personal motor vehicle or other means of personal transportation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is an asset
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, with experience in executive presentations and customer focus.
  • Open and collaborative style; must be comfortable working across teams.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Sales Strategy & Process Management

  1. Develop comprehensive sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve annual revenue targets and market share growth.
  2. Accountable for optimizing sales process manuals and forms i.e. conducting regular reviews, updating documentation for accuracy, and collaborating with teams to ensure alignment with evolving processes.
  3. Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales strategies with promotional activities, ensuring a cohesive and impactful market presence.

Team Leadership

  1. Recruit, train, and mentor a results-oriented sales team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  2. Implement performance metrics and KPIs to assess individual and team achievements, providing timely feedback and coaching.
  3. Take the appropriate steps outlined in the company’s disciplinary guidelines to address employee misconduct.
  4. Organize regular sales meetings to facilitate open communication, share best practices, and address challenges collaboratively.
  5. Oversee, document, and authorize employee leave requests, timekeeping, and expense submissions in accordance with established company procedures.

Relationship Management

  1. Lead efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the client base and market coverage.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners, acting as the primary point of contact.
  3. Collaborate with the customer support team to address client concerns, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Market & Product Knowledge Management

  1. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, providing timely insights to inform strategic decisions.
  2. Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, adjusting sales strategies as needed.
  3. Contribute to the development of new product features or enhancements based on customer feedback and market demands.

Collaboration

  1. Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with the target audience.
  2. Liaise with cross-functional teams to address customer feedback and ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience.
  3. Work closely with product development teams to understand upcoming features and innovations, providing valuable insights from the sales perspective.
