The Energy Unit in the Ministry of Public Utilities, Energy, Logistics and E-Governance in collaboration with the Statistical Institute of Belize is carrying out an energy survey. This survey will contribute to strengthening the energy sector in Belize by improving the Energy Statistics and providing robust data for energy planning and policy formulation.
The project will collect data for the energy consumption in all the sectors in Belize and this questionnaire focuses on the energy use in the services, commercial and industrial sectors of economic activity. Information regarding the energy consumption of different types of energy (wood, diesel, electricity, etc.) for different end uses (cooling, production processes, hot water, etc.) will be collected.
All information collected during this survey is strictly confidential. All information will be used and made available in an aggregate form only. No individual information or questionnaire will be released to anyone except to the personnel in SIB for the statistical analysis and the compilation of the required statistics. Deadline for responding to survey is April 29th, 2022.
