With the support of the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan, The Trust for The Americas, an NGO affiliated with the Organization of American States (OAS), will launch in May 2022 an Innovation Lab for Youth in Belize City with its partner the UWI Open Campus in Belize. The Democratizing Innovation in the Americas (DIA) program will train over 300 youths nationwide, foster innovation, and empower new generations through access to training and capacity building sessions, collaboration spaces, specialized curricula, mentorship, and best practices from the region, that will help young entrepreneurs to strengthen their skills to participate in the country’s economy and create innovative solutions that generate livelihood opportunities for their communities.
