The BELIZE Natural Energy Charitable Trust (BNECT) takes this
opportunity to inform the public that applications for the second cohort of the โ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉโ program is now open for Belizean entrepreneurs 18 years and older.
๐๐ก๐จ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ?
– Micro, Small and Medium (MSMEs) from all business sectors who have innovative ideas at the idea stage or new start-up (less than 1 year) to further develop those ideas in a setting that will allow for innovation, inspiration, and exploration.
๐๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ?
– An entrepreneur can access up to $10,000 in seed capital funding.
๐๐ก๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ฌ ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ?
– Five selected entrepreneurs can receive seed funding not exceeding a sum of TEN THOUSAND dollars (BZ $10,000) to start their small business or to finance the growth phase of their business.
๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐:
– Applicant must be a Belizean citizen
– Legal persons whose businesses are duly registered or legal persons whose businesses are not registered but have the intention of registering
– Entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas at the idea stage or new start-up (less than 1 year)
– Entrepreneurs must not have any criminal record
– Entrepreneurs must not have a relationship of consanguinity or affinity with employees of BNECT
– Entrepreneurs must not have pending contractual commitments with BNECT
– Entrepreneurs must have time availability to participate in the program for 6 months
